Former major leaguer Gozzo has two sons following his path

Mauro “Goose” Gozzo was recently named manager of the Atlantic League New Britain Bees, an independent professional team.  He had pitched in parts of six seasons in the majors from 1989 to 1994 and played a total of 12 seasons in the minors.

Gozzo coached his two sons, Sal and Paul, starting at early ages and eventually on nationally competitive teams; and now they are currently playing college baseball.  Sal is a shortstop at Tulane University while Paul plays for the University of Connecticut.

Gozzo Twins to Continue Their Careers at Tulane

Twin brothers Paul and Sal Gozzo have been standout players at Wallingford High School in Sheehan, Connecticut.  In 2016, they will both attend Tulane University where they will continue their baseball careers.

Their father is Mauro Gozzo, who was a pitcher in the major leagues from 1989 to 1994 for Toronto, Cleveland, Minnesota, and the New York Mets.  Paul and Sal previously played for their father who coached an AAU team.
