Eckstein Family Deals With Kidney Disease

David Eckstein played professional baseball for ten years and was MVP of the 2006 World Series. His brother, Rick, played in the minor leagues and also coached at the major league level.

The Eckstein family has a history of kidney disease, with four of the family members receiving kidney transplants and three additional family member have donated kidneys.

David was recently involved in a fund-raising campaign to raise $40,000 for an organ transplant house at a Florida hospital.
