Jim Crane, owner of the Houston Astros, recently named his son, Jared, as team president for business operations. Jared replaces Reid Ryan, who will become an executive advisor to Crane. Crane says the move is part of his succession plan for the organization.
Reid Ryan is the son of Nolan Ryan, who had been an advisor for the Astros for the last years. The elder Ryan is ending his relationship with the Astros.
