Nik Turley Fans 14 for Chattanooga

Nik Turley, a distant relative of former Cy Young Award winner, Bob Turley, recently struck out 14, including 8 consecutive batters, for the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Minnesota Twins affiliate in the Southern League.  His performance tied a Southern League record.

Turley was the 50th-round pick of the New York Yankees out of high school in the 2008 MLB Draft.

Bob Turley pitched for four major-league teams during 1951 to 1963.  He had his best season in 1958 when he won 21 games to help the New York Yankees win the World Series.  He was named the American League Cy Young Award winner.
