John Schuerholz Elected to Baseball’s Hall of Fame

John Schuerholz, a long-time general manager and executive for several major league clubs, was recently elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The Baltimore Sun recently posted the following story about him:

Schuerholz is the father of Jonathan Schuerholz, who was a minor league manager in the Atlanta Braves organization, before moving to the front office of the Braves. Jonathan also played in the Braves organization from 2002 to 2007.

Schuerholz’s father, also named John, was a minor league player from 1937 to 1940, ending his career with the Philadelphia Phillies.
