Ron Taylor was a major league pitcher from 1962 to 1972, appearing for five teams, primarily as a relief pitcher.
His two sons, Drew and Matthew, recently produced a 20-minute documentary about their father, titled “Ron Taylor: Dr. Baseball.”
In addition to his baseball career, Taylor had received his degree as a medical doctor and later served on the medical staff of the Toronto Blue Jays with whom he occasionally pitched batting practice.
Son Drew also pitched in pro baseball during 1986 to 1989 for the Mets and Cardinals organizations.
