Parker Frazier started the 2015 season in independent league baseball, but found his way back to the affiliated minors with the Diamondback and A’s organizations later in the season. The pitcher is completing his ninth season in pro baseball after being drafted in the 8th round of the 2007 MLB Draft.
His father is George Frazier, who pitched for ten years in the majors and participated in two World Series with the Yankees and Twins. Now George is a color commentator for the Colorado Rockies broadcasts. The elder Frazier got to the big leagues in only his third pro season.
Parker still turns to his father as a sounding board for pitching in the big leagues. He hopes to still get his shot at the big leagues.
