Terry Francona is in his third season as the manager of the Cleveland Indians, a team his father once played for. Terry recalls that his father, Tito, was away from home a lot as a major league player. But the elder Francona always found time to stay in touch with his son.
Tito Francona played for fifteen seasons in the majors, mostly with the Indians. He was named an All-Star in 1961 and compiled a .272 career batting average.
