Paul Sewald is a pitcher in his fourth season in the New York Mets organization. He is currently playing for Binghamton, a Double-A affiliate of the Mets. He was elated when his younger brother, Johnny, joined him in the professional ranks.
Johnny, was recently selected in the 14th round of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros and is currently an outfielder for Tri-City of the New York–Penn League.
Both brothers played for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, with Paul’s teams collecting three state titles and Johnny’s teams compiling four state championships. However, they never played on the same team in high school.
