Gretzky’s Son Trevor Continues Pursuit of Baseball Career

Trevor Gretzky decided not to follow his father’s career in hockey, when he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2011.  Now in his fourth professional season at age 22, he still finds himself  at the Class A level in the Los Angeles Angels organization.

Trevor is playing full time at Burlington in the Midwest League this season, hoping to develop some consistency that will allow him to progress to the next level.

Wayne Gretzky has been a huge baseball fan, and encouraged his son to pursue a career in baseball.

Despite seeing many Midwest League games, I’ve yet to see Gretzky play. Probably because the Bees are in the West division, but I’ll still check the schedules and see when they play some of the East teams.
