Griffin Morandini, son of former major leaguer Mickey Morandini, is carrying on the family name in baseball while playing high school baseball in the Garnet Valley school district in Indiana.
Mickey was an eleven year veteran of the major leagues from 1990 to 2000, mostly with the Philadelphia Phillies. Now, Mickey is a coach for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in the Phillies organization.
Griffin is the middle son of Mickey. His older brother (Jordan) is a sophomore at Valparaiso University, while his younger brother (Braydon) is in the eighth grade.
