Steve Johnson and his Father Share Special Connection

Steve Johnson, a pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization, can look to his father as a mentor and advisor. Father Dave Johnson was a major league pitcher himself for the Orioles, posting his best season in 1990 with a 13-9 record. The senior Johnson can relate to Steve’s journey through the minor leagues and his biggest fan.

Steve made his major league debut in 2012, but has pitched in only 21 major league games so far. Steve is trying to make the Orioles pitching staff this spring.
