Former major league Jeff McKnight died at age 52 on March 1. He came from a baseball family, as his father, Jim, played parts of two seasons with the Chicago Cubs in the early 1960s. Jeff also had two brothers, Jack and Jim Jr., who played in the minor leagues.
Jeff saw action with the Orioles and Mets in the big leagues between 1989 and 1994.
