Alex Johnson Dies at Age 72

Alex Johnson was a 13-year major leaguer with eight different teams from 1964 to 1972. He was the American League batting champion in 1970, his only year as an all-star. He had a lifetime .288 batting average.

Alex’s brother was Ron Johnson, an All-Pro NFL running back.
