John Hudek was an All-Star pitcher in his 1994 rookie season for the Houston Astros. He also finished as runner-up for National League Rookie of the Year that season. After that, he was a journeyman hurler for four more big league clubs, ending his major league career in 1999.
His daughter, Sarah, recently accepted a baseball scholarship at Bossier Parish Community College in Shreveport, LA. The 5-foot-10-inch Hudek touts an 82 mph fastball and is currently working on a cutter.
