Pedro Martinez, a first-time ballot inductee of Baseball’s Hall of Fame for 2015, credits his strong family background in achieving his success in major league baseball. Pedro was a three-time Cy Young Award winner during his major league career from 1992 to 2009.
Pedro’s older brother, Ramon, was also a major league player from 1988 to 2001. They played as teammates for the Los Angeles Dodgers and on occasion faced each other as starting pitchers on opposing teams.
Pedro’s brother, Jesus, played in the minors from 1992-2001. Pedro’s cousin, Denny Bautista, also played in the big leagues.
