Giambi Brothers Have High School Numbers Retired

Jason and Jeremy Giambi recently had their jersey numbers retired from South Hills High in West Covina, CA.

Both Giambi brothers went on to play major league baseball.

Jason was the American League MVP in 2000, while playing for the Oakland A’s. He was a five-time All-Star for the A’s and New York Yankees. He was a pinch-hitter for the Cleveland Indians in 2014 and has yet to sign a contract for the 2015 season.

Jeremy played for six seasons in the majors from 1998 to 2003, including playing with his brother for the A’s. He also played for the Royals, Phillies and Red Sox.
