Kolarek Father and Son Share Special Bond

Adam Kolarek is currently a pitcher for Double-A Binghampton in the New York Mets organization. He was drafted by the Mets in the 2010 MLB Draft out of the University of Maryland. Adam’s father Frank also played minor league baseball, reaching Triple-A with the Oakland A’s organization in 1979. Frank is currently a part-time scout with the Baltimore Orioles and has previously scouted for the A’s and Brewers organizations.

Frank never pushed his son into baseball, but Adam had the opportunity to be around major league baseball through his father’s scouting assignments. They have never taken for granted the baseball experiences they have shared together.
