On June 14, the Mobile BayBears team hosted an event at their game against Pensacola to honor Milt and Frank Bolling, two natives of Mobile who played in the Major Leagues.
Milt appeared in the big leagues from 1952 to 1958 with Boston, Washington, and Detroit. He posted a career .241 batting average as a shortstop. Frank was in the majors from 1954 to 1966, missing the 1955 season due to military service. He was a second baseman for the Tigers and Braves, compiling a .254 batting average and making two All-Star teams as a Brave.
Milt and Frank briefly played together in 1958 for the Tigers, forming their double-play combination.
