Cliff Brantley Follows His Father’s Path To Pro Career

Cliff Brantley, who played two seasons of college baseball at Wagner College and this season at Adelphi, was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 19th round. His father, Cliff, was a second-round pick of the Philadelphia Phillies in 1986, and pitched for two seasons with the big league Phillies.

The elder Brantley credited his son’s hard work for his opportunity to play professional baseball, and will certainly be rooting for his son to join the ranks of “Major Leaguer.”
