High Draft Pick Hill Comes From A Solid Baseball Family

Derek Hill was drafted out of high school in this year’s MLB draft. He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the first round, the 23rd overall pick of the draft. His father, Orsino, is currently a scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers; and his cousin, Darryl Strawberry, was the first overall pick of the 1980 draft, by the New York Mets. Strawberry played for 17 seasons in the big leagues.
