Stephen Wrenn Did Not Get Pressure From Baseball Father

Stephen Wrenn, currently playing baseball at the University of Georgia, was selected in the 28th round of the 2013 MLB Draft, but chose to attend college instead. Wrenn’s father, also named Stephen, had been a star baseball player in college at Wake Forest and then spent four seasons in the Cleveland Indians organization. Wrenn Jr. says he did not get any advice from his father about whether to pursue a professional career at this time, and made his own decision to attend college to play baseball.
