Bill DeWitt Is Baseball Lifer Like His Father

Bill DeWitt Jr., the owner of the successful St. Louis Cardinals franchise, has a legacy in major league baseball. His father was also an owner of big league teams, the St. Louis Browns and Cincinnati Reds.

Bill Jr. was a batboy for the St. Louis Browns when his father was an executive for the team. His uniform was used by Eddie Gaedel, the midget who made the legendary appearance in a major league game in 1951.
