Katie Uhlaender, daughter of former Major League Baseball player, deceased Ted Uhlaender, is preparing for the 2014 Winter Olympics in skeleton racing. Four years after Ted’s death, she continues to be inspired by her father and his legacy in baseball. Ted was an outfielder for the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians from 1965 to 1972.
My book, Family Ties: A Comprehensive Collection of Facts and Trivia About Baseball’s Relatives, has a chapter about family members of big league baseball players who played sports other than baseball.
