Huston Street’s Father, Former Collegiate Star, Dies

Current San Diego Padre closer, Huston Street’s father, James Street, died at age 65. James was a collegiate star in baseball and football at the University of Texas. He was 20-0 as the quarterback for the Longhorns from 1968-69, which claimed the 1969 National Championship. As a pitcher, James helped Texas appear in three consecutive College World Series, and posted a career record of 29-8. Huston also played collegiately at the University of Texas.
