Former Major League pitcher Bryan Harvey has two sons who also played baseball professionally. They have recently opened a baseball academy in their hometown of Catawba, North Carolina.
Bryan was a relief pitcher for the Angels and Marlins during 1987-1995, making the All-Star team in each league. Bryan’s son, Kris, was a pitcher in the Marlins and Pirates organizations, after being drafted in the second round of the 2005 MLB Draft.
Harvey Hunter, Bryan’s other son, was a first-round pick of the Baltimore Orioles in the 2013 MLB Draft.
