Dick Radatz Jr. Runs Collegiate Summer League

Dick Radatz Jr. is the son of former Boston Red Sox pitcher, Dick Radatz Sr, known as the “Monster” in the 1960s, because he was so intimidating to opposing batters. Radatz Jr. played college baseball, but an injury prevented him from following his father’s footsteps on the field professionally. Instead, Radatz Jr. formed the successful Northwoods League in 1994, which currently has 16 teams of amateur players, mostly from the college level.
